Citywalk Motor Inn over the years
Council records show there has been a building on this site since 1938 so just imagine if walls could talk, the stories they would tell...
From Jennifer Cuddy
“My grandmother Margaret Cuddy was a publican all her life and bought the Dunmore about 1949. Her son - my father, Bill Cuddy, ran the hotel until 1957. My two sisters were born in Rockhampton when Dad ran the Dunmore, and we spent our young years growing up at the hotel.”
From Warren Robinson
“During the late 1950’s to about 1985 I believe the freehold belonged to Carlton United (Fosters) and had a number of Lessees. I bought the Dunmore Hotel in Late 1990 and owned it as the Dunmore and Citywalk until December 2021 when I sold it to Shane & Kylie. We remodelled the building and ran it as a Hotel till 1990.
In 1994 we opened the Citywalk Motor Inn, retaining part of the Hotel building as a Restaurant, Managers Quarters and Reception. The new building across the back of the property had 14 units. We later closed the Restaurant and converted it to a Family Motel Suite. In 2009 we demolished what was left of the original hotel building and built 11 additional Motel Suites, a new Reception and Managers Quarters.”

We had a truly wonderful stay! Well maintained room was clean and comfy. Annette and the staff are absolutely accommodating. Walking distance very close to City Centre is a plus. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you Citywalk Motor Inn.

Great rooms and very friendly staff. Been staying here for years for work and I’ve never had a issue. They look after you and if there’s an issue, they’ll sort it out asap. Also the local pub and couple of restaurants do charge back to the motel which is great!

From the moment we walked in nothing was a problem. Owners are more than accommodating and they went out of their way to welcome us. Friendly, helpful and truly wonderful and caring people. Rooms are clean and accommodation is walking distance to town centre.
